Per Digital Norway’s recommendations, we cut out a template of the loom, appropriately out of extra wide Christmas wrapping paper, to help us position the outlets and a future warping trapeze. I think I will leave the snowflake paper on the floor until the loom can take its place.
Yesterday Matthew finished the electrical installation for the loom and a few other things on our list. This coming week we’re running PVC pipe from the pump location in the basement to the TC2 Room (formerly our son’s bedroom). We’ve got 3 different routes scoped out – each with benefits and draw backs. My amazing husband will be doing the installation so it is up to him which route he takes. We will see what happens.
The PVC will terminate in the ceiling above the loom location with the loom’s power outlet. The flexible hose for the air supply will connect to the PVC in the ceiling. We’ll rig up a hang point to allow us a little more cord and tubing near the ceiling so we can “drive” the loom around the room as needed.
When we get the loom and put it together, Matthew will be back to install the final outlets so we can plug it in and take it for a spin.
Just a couple of weeks to go now.
